York Ceilidh Bands
The bands below are all based in York and are available to hire for weddings, private functions, public events, barn dances and fundraisers in Yorkshire and the North Of England. They all come with a caller used to working with all kinds of crowds including complete beginners. All bands provide their own sound equipment and have Public Liability Insurance and PAT tested equipment (required by some venues).

The New Fox Band
A powerful, stompy three piece ceilidh band, with melodeon, fiddle and percussion.
Sarah Loughran & Paul Young
A versatile duo with Sarah Loughran on fiddle and Paul Young on melodeon and guitar. We're able to make a big danceable sound for ceilidhs as well as playing more chilled out folk tunes suitable for background music at weddings.
RASTRUM Ceilidh Band
Ceilidh trio with accordion, fiddle and keys, playing mainly Scottish and Irish tunes. We specialise in providing a classic Scottish ceilidh experience, but can cover other types of ceilidh and barn dance as well.
One Man Ceilidh Band
Paul Young has been calling ceilidhs and playing accordion professionally for over 12 years and has a large repertoire of tunes and dances to suit any crowd and situation, whether it's for complete first-timers at a wedding or for more experienced dancers at a club or festival..
